“Dear Steve, I want to thank you and the WTS staff for all your help during the recent government shutdown. As you know, we had to act quickly on the morning of October 1 to cancel review meeting and site visit travel that were scheduled to occur during an unknown period (since we had no idea how long a shutdown might be). While cancellation of review meetings was handled centrally by CSR on a week by week basis, we had many site visits scheduled as well. We opted to cancel all site visit travel for all of October and November, with the hope that we might reschedule at least some off it once we were back at work. WTS staff was efficient and helpful in making all the cancellations. And when we came back in mid-October, WTS staff was equally helpful in making the necessary arrangements to reinstate/reschedule some of these trips and in helping reviewers find (or re-find) suitable flights.
